Mind Matters: A Brain Health Event

On May 7, 2016, NorthShore Center for Brain Health hosted “Mind Matters”, a community event featuring Dr. Lisa Genova, acclaimed New York Timesbestselling author of Still Alice, as keynote speaker.  Leading up to the event we:

Secured a partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, IL Chapter

  • Developed an email invitation for individuals in Alzheimer’s network who live in the NS geographical area.

  • Secured advertising in the Alzheimer’s Assoc, IL Chapter magazine – the NS marketing team ended up not advertising because of registration for the event was full after distributing the invite

  •  In return, Alzheimer’s Association was the featured sponsor at the event and Peggy Rubenstein, participated in the Q&A with Dr. Maraganore. The association also received invites to the VIP event.

During our research, we learned that the Alzheimer’s Association gala was the same evening as the CBH event. We worked with them to secure Dr. Genova for an additional evening where she was presented with an honorary award. In return, the Alzheimer’s Association provided CBH with a full page in the program director at no cost.  CBH also received 4 gala tickets for employees.

  • Worked with NS Foundation on a VIP event featuring Dr. Genova on May 6.
